nexo & CFCF signed an agreement
Both organizations have elaborate a common collaboration towards card schemes certification
An agreement between the Common Functional Certification Framework Consortium (CFCF) and nexo has been ratified to establish an official liaison to cooperate in order to provide for the certification of products having implemented nexo specifications. The agreement brings together the two leading organisations in their respective fields.
The CFCF was established in the beginning of 2015 as the "Common Functional Certification Framework CFCF" by Cartes Bancaires and GBIC responsible for approval of POI in the card payment area. CFCF uses its established certification infrastructure and CFCF accredited Certification Bodies continues to issue certificates. The objectives of the CFCF Consortium are twofold:
- to continue POI and acquirer systems certification based and
- to coordinate and provide interested stakeholders with a common trusted Certification Infrastructure endorsed and recognised by participating Card Payment Schemes and Approval Bodies on nexo Implementation Specifications (based on nexo FAST and nexo specifications) as well as potentially on other Implementation Specifications.
nexo is a global open standardization association, whose headquarters is in Brussels. Its mission is to unite the players of the card-based payment industry on the definition and enhancement of payment acceptance solution implementation specifications. To ensure the interoperability between card acceptance and acquiring solutions on the one hand and integrated retail and terminal management systems on the other, nexo drives the development, delivery and maintenance of a new generation of universal card payment standards, protocols and implementation specifications.
Together, the two organisations will aim to facilitate the implementation and certification of nexo standards.
